Let customers speak for us
from 504 reviewsIf you're a cat lover then this is the perfect cup for your afternoon tea. Beautifully made and boxed for giving if you can part with it!
This is my third hinged tin - such a useful size & it easily fits into an on-the-go project bag. It's perfect for keeping buttons in or even my entire on-the-go kit comprising stitch markers, various needles, a needle threader plus a pair of small scissors, I just love how useful they are.
I love the bird themed yarns from West Yorkshire Spinners. All went well with the delivery.
I absolutely loved this workshop - it was so exciting to actually understand both the technique & how to read the charts both of which Sam carefully explained. She made sure we each understood the importance of the chaining technique when changing yarn colour so as to carry the yarn neatly between colour changes. Once we got the hang of the technique she let us 'fly' at our own pace - that meant we each discovered any problems which Sam was then on hand to help solve & explain what had gone awry. It was such an illuminating & rewarding experience. I finished my sample at home using both the charted patterns Sam had provided in her well written workshop notes.
Super versatile, gentle on the hands and fun to work with. I'm really enjoying knitting this up.
Spent an afternoon here weaving a bookmark. Debbie led the course and this was her first time teaching weaving. She showed us her own fabulous weaving and talked about the various looms that are available. She was very patient with each one of us…..I really appreciated that as I have never quite got my head around the hem stitch!
Courses here are always brilliant, it’s not like learning in a school situation, it’s like having a friend take your hand and guide you along the road.
Always a joy to visit Wool on the Exe. Knowledgeable and friendly staff and a huge variety of gorgeous yarns
The big eye is ideal for chunkier yarns & the blunted bent tip so useful for gliding between stitches without splitting fibres. The little container fits easily into my notions tin which lives in my project bag so the needles are always accessible. There’s ample space in the container for additional needles too.
These needles are a game changer and make knitting even more pleasurable, relaxing and addictive. The points are carefully designed to be just the right shape for picking up stitches easily. The lovely smooth metal allows the yarn to slide over them with ease. The lightness of the needles and perfect shape for holding makes knitting much faster and the stitches more neat and even.
I’ve used this to knot a few baby hats - it gets lots of compliments. Knits up well - very soft - pretty colours.
Bits of a luxury and hand wash but works well for hats
At a Mosaic Crochet workshop we were informed that the charts for mosaic knitting can be used for crochet as well. This book has lovely charted designs in it & lots of inspiring projects. The blanket on the front cover will look just as stunning executed in crochet stitches.
I had a really enjoyable afternoon learning how to read charts and how to create some Shetland lace. Ethel was knowledgeable, interesting, and above all, very patient! I can hardly wait to get started on my own Shetland Lace project.
Lovely to handle and knits up into a beautiful fabric. The colour palette makes this yarn an excellent choice for modern lacework projects.
Such a useful gadget - it's a quick easy way to keep track of which row I'm on. The fact that it has a locking mechanism means that there's no problem about keeping it with whatever project it relates to in the appropriate project bag.
