Wool on the Exe is not just a shop with an amazing selection of yarns but also a source of any information you need as a needleworker. The staff are themselves experts and more than ready to help and advise. In the background, there's always creative work going on - a true community place in spirit and practice.

This shop supports independent dyers and spinners and gives them the window to show off their products. I feel that this is so important to keep on doing this. It has enabled me to try yarn from people I would never have discovered.
It doesn’t feel like a yarn shop to me either, more like a special, welcoming place to meet with like minded people.
I've only recently joined Wool on the Exe, but am so very glad that I did. I've used the discount a lot, had free winding (which I was clueless about) and a cup of tea to escape a dreary day whilst they helped me unpick my mistakes and set me straight again.
They are extremely friendly, welcoming to my wayward toddler, always happy to help a stressed and clueless novice knitter and have really helped me reignite an old passion. It certainly doesn't feel like your ordinary shop, more like a special meeting place for all with the added bonus of being surrounded by beautiful yarn!
