Sevilla Blanket Crochet-along
This new design by Janie Crow has caught our eye! Janie Crow's blanket designs are always stunning and this looks like quite a simple one, with lots of colours but a subtle tile-inspired design. We already stock the yarn that she's used for the design, Life DK, so if you wanted to make one exactly like hers then we can get the yarn together for you! Alternatively you may like to change the colours, or the yarn choice - we have all the options!
We thought this project would make a perfect summer crochet-along! Sevilla Blanket is made of individual hexagons, making it an ideal portable project for your summer adventures. We can all support each other in making the design, in the shop or online via our facebook make-along group.
The design uses 16 balls of Stylecraft Life DK. But, of course, when you make your own you can choose how you would like it to be! Use fewer colours or more, make it smaller or bigger. Use yarn from stash, switch up the colours, or make it exactly as Janie Crow intended; the choice is yours! For greatest flexibility rather than offering yarn packs, we can help you find the option that works best for you. If you spend £50 or more on yarn for the blanket we will give you the pattern for free! If you're ordering online just leave a note at checkout or send us a message so we can include the pattern in your order.
To give us all time to plan our projects, choose yarn and get hold of the patterns, we'll start on Friday 10th July. If we're out of stock of anything you need please let us know over the next few weeks and we'll do our best to order it in for the start of the make along!
Although we won't have specific tuition for the make-along we'll always do our best to help you achieve your goals, and we can all support each other along the way! This could be an ideal way to expand your crochet skills independently but also alongside others. Everyone is welcome to join in!

We have lots of options for DK yarns in the shop. We've picked out a few ideas here in the original colour palette - but of course you can use whichever colours you like!
This is the yarn that Janie Crow uses for her design. We have the same original colours that she uses - or you can use the colours that you like best!
A pure washable wool from West Yorkshire Spinners. There are lots of colour options! If you chose this yarn you may need more balls of the main colours.
This is a recycled DK yarn from Stylecraft that comes in both strong and gentle colours with some slightly marled or tweed effects.
Perfect for a blanket that you would like to use on the beach or outside in summer days!
Milburn is a luxury blend of Bluefaced Leicester and silk. We have the same yarn in a 4ply thickness too, which could be ideal if you fancy adapting the pattern to be a wrap or scarf.
