This workshop has been designed for anyone who has the desire to learn to knit but hasn't touched a knitting needle yet!
In session 1 you will learn how to cast on and work the knit and purl stitch. You will take your yarn and needles home and, during the week, practice what you've learned.
In session 2 you will learn how to create rib stitches, change colours in your knitting and finally, how to cast off.
By the end of your 2 sessions, you will have learned enough to take on your first knitting project! We will have a few patterns available to help you get going.

About our workshops
Our workshops are designed to be a place where you can relax, learn, and have fun! They are held at our large table at the back of the shop and are limited to 5 participants. If a workshop is full, you can ask to be put on the waiting list.
If you need to cancel your booking, we require 3 full business days to issue you a refund. After that, we will only be able to offer a refund if someone else takes your place. Also, don't forget to put your workshop in your diary! We don't have a reminder system, and are sad when folks miss a booking.
I have only ever very briefly dabbled in knitting before this class, attempting to self-teach, each time not getting very far, and giving up. Wool On The Exe is a very welcoming place and a lovely place to learn. Trudi is a great teacher and created a relaxed environment where you're not afraid to make mistakes and ask for help. I've continued to knit since this class and I've booked on for more advanced classes in the future that I cannot wait for. I 100% recommend, and can't wait to come back!
