Thank you for shopping with Wool on the Exe.  We appreciate your business and hope you love your purchases and your fibre arts experience with us.

Shipping costs explained:

Domestic

We try to keep our shipping costs as low as possible and will sometimes use services other than Royal Mail if it's more cost effective. We make every effort to post daily, Monday through Friday via Royal Mail. In the UK, purchases under £50 are £4.50 for first class or £5.65 for 'Signed For' service provided your parcel is under 2 kg in weight. If over, additional postage costs will apply. Purchases over £50, and under 2 kg, are sent first class for free. 

International
 
We offer international shipping and worldwide delivery via Royal Mail Standard and International Tracked & Signed* for orders up to 2kg in weight. The maximum weight that can be shipped in one international parcel is 2kg. If you are ordering goods that total more than 2kg in weight you will need to place two or more separate orders or we will separate them and bill you for the additional postage.

Packaging as well as the goods you purchase will be taken into account to calculate the weight of the order.

Important - All international parcels are shipped DAP (Delivery at Place) which means that any customs/duty or import taxes incurred upon arrival in your country are your responsibility. We have no control over what charges may be incurred by the courier or local authorities upon arrival at the destination country. 


Parcels to other countries are as follows:

Canada: Standard £12, Tracked & Signed for £16

USA: Standard £15.50, Tracked & Signed for £19

We do ship to most countries, so if your rate is not here, please get in touch and we can let you know the cost.

It's possible rates will change in our online system and this page will not be updated immediately. In this case, the rates charged at check out are the ones that will apply to your purchase.

Product Returns

We understand that you may occasionally need to return a product purchased from us.

In-Store Purchases

Unused, unwound full-priced yarn in its original resalable condition may be returned for a full refund with proof of purchase provided we still stock the yarn. We are unable to accept yarn or other products that have been exposed to cigarette or cigar smoke or have been fouled by pet hair.

Products with manufacturer defects will be replaced with the same or comparable product or with a refund.  This does not cover items which are damaged by the customer and regular wear and tear.

All sales are final on discounted and sale items unless faulty.

All sales are final on patterns, needles, tools and accessories unless faulty.

Returns or refunds on items purchased from our consignment stock must be arranged with the individual artist. Contact details and return/refund policies are provided in the shop.

Online Purchases

Unless defective, the item must be returned in unused, resalable condition in its original packaging, including ball bands/skein labels.  If you wish to return an item for a refund you must contact us within 14 days of receiving the item to let us know you wish to cancel your purchase. You must send it back to us within 14 days after letting us know you wish to cancel.

Workshop and Event Registration

Registration and payments can be made in-store, online or over the phone.  All registration is handled on a first come, first served basis. Please note that online class and event registrations completed after store hours or on Sundays will be processed the next business day.

Our current classes and events are geared towards adults aged 18+.  However, we will periodically be offering parent-child workshops and workshops for 13-16 year olds.  Any workshops for unaccompanied teenagers will be run by experienced instructors with current DBS clearance.

Workshop Attendance

Classes will begin at their scheduled times so we encourage you to arrive a few minutes early to get settled. Except for specific medical reasons please do not bring your own food and drink to the workshops, though bottled water is fine.

Workshop Cancellations

If you cancel prior to three full working days before the day of the class or event you will receive a full refund. You may also give your session to a friend.

If you cancel with less than three full working days of the class or event your fees are non-refundable.

Wool on the Exe reserves the right to cancel a class or event due to low registration or instructor emergency. Your fees will be refunded via your original payment method or store credit should you choose it.

Food and Drink

We have a selection of hot and cold drinks and occasional cakes for sale in the shop every day.  Except for specific medical purposes we ask that you do not bring your own food and drink into the shop. Please alert us to any food allergy you may have. 

Your Privacy

We may ask you for personal information such as your name, contact number or email address.  We appreciate that you trust us with this information, and we assure you it is kept secure and is not shared, nor used for any purpose other than to contact you regarding shop business.
