In this fun and engaging workshop, you will gain an understanding of the wet felting process. You will learn how to lay out fibres, how to blend colours and make felt using wetting and rolling processes. You will have an opportunity to make a small embellished piece and then, once you've learnt the technique, you'll make a flower or a bowl. Ginny will bring along several ideas for taking your new learning to the next level.
All materials are supplied for this workshop led by Ginny Shipway.

Just did this course this afternoon. Ginny is an amazing teacher and so patient too… especially when I couldn’t get my decoration to stick to my pot. Ginny teaches us how to layer fibre and to then wet felt it adding decorative additions , this is a practice piece. You then move on to making a pot using the skills you have learned and with her guidance. Lovely atmosphere in the shop as always.
Spent an immensely enjoyable afternoon felting with the wonderful Ginny. Great company and a lot of fun. I was very pleased with the end result and have definitely got the felting bug!
I really enjoyed my morning spent at WOTE today learning about wet felting. Thank you Ali for your patience and brilliant guidance. And thank you Debbie for hosting us.
Thank you Ali for for your thorough & patient instruction and to the group too for making it a lovely session. I've learnt so much and so proud of my first creation. I will keep practicing & definately attend another workshop.
What a fantastic workshop today at WOTE- Ali is a great teacher, and brought a good dose of humour along with bags of experience. She explains the process really well so that by the end of the day you will have a good understanding of the process and that will allow you to experiment further in your own time with confidence. And after seeing some examples of Ali's own work, you'll be inspired to explore all the possibilities of wet felting (her shawls are beautiful!)
Thank you Toni! We really loved having you join us
