Our 'next step' Shetland Lace workshop follows on from Ethel's introduction course and is suitable for confident beginners and intermediate knitters.
In this workshop, we will look more closely at the construction of a Shetland shawl and the lace patterns that are frequently used. You will knit samples of a variety of lace patterns with some requiring a lace pattern on every row, including the more complicated 'Print O' the Wave pattern. Ethel will also spend time focusing on creating a beautiful edge for your shawl.
We will be using a 4 ply wool yarn and a 3.5mm needle. If you have a favourite pair, please bring them along.

Our workshops are designed to be a place where you can relax, learn, and have fun! They are held at our large table at the back of the shop and are limited to 5 participants. If a workshop is full, you can ask to be put on the waiting list.
