Knit a bobble hat in the round
The bobble hat is one of life's necessities! Why not take this workshop and knit up a few for friends and family or perhaps for one of our charity causes? If you've never knit in the round before, this is the perfect project to get you started.
You will need to know how to cast on, knit and purl, but otherwise, all other techniques will be taught on the day. This will include how to knit in a rib pattern, how to knit in the round on circular and double pointed needles, and how to decrease for the crown. And you'll get to make a nifty pom-pom with our very own pom-pom maker or purchase an alpaca pom-pom for a deluxe topper!
This is a 2 session workshop with each session lasting 2.5 hours although the second session will most likely be shorter.
Your yarn and pattern will be provided and a selection of yarns will be available on the day. We will be using a 6.0 mm/40 cm, circular needle as well as 6.0 mm/20 cm, double pointed needles. If you have these on hand, bring them along. We are able to lend needles provided you finish your hat during our time together. You may also purchase needles on the day if you wish.
This workshop is led by Debbie Judd
