Quantity Remaining: 2 2
The lace knitting of Shetland Island is a great favourite of knitters! It can be knitted in many thicknesses of yarn and look different each time. It can be very easy to knit and sometimes very challenging to knit!
This workshop is an introduction to Shetland Lace knitting. To enjoy this workshop, you need at least to be a confident beginner and know how to cast on, knit and purl.
We will look at different patterns; best way to cast on and cast off; and how to make neat edges. We will also knit a sampler to practice the skills needed to create lovely lace knitting.
All materials will be provided however if you have a favourite pair of 4.0 mm needles, feel free to bring them along.
This workshop is led by Ethel Hillier
