Starship Cowl
Starship Cowl by Kristel Nieves
I knit it with just about 60 grams of a superwash chunky and 50 grams of chunky baby alpaca. I used a 5.5 for the ribbing and 6 for the colourwork. I think it could also accommodate going up a bit to a 6.5. It would be great in Softie and Jewelspun chunky or WYS Re:treat and Re:treat Twist.
It's super easy and quick!

Emerald Green Handwarmer
Emerald Green Handwarmer by creativeyarn
These are so incredibly quick and simple to make! They would be stunning knitted in Eden Cottage Milburn DK. The ones pictured here were made for my mother-in-law one Christmas using an acrylic blend like Stylecraft Life DK.

Dino Hat
Dino Hat by Sari Nordlund
This is a hat that I made which I love! I'm suggesting it for the kid (even if they're a grown up kid) in everyone's lives. I think WYS Signature 4ply in a solid and a variegated, or a solid with a pixie variegated or even two solids!! It's a versatile pattern which I love.

Scottish Heather Sock
Scottish Heather Sock by Amy Loberg (FiberWild!)
Gail is just about to cast these socks on using West Yorkshire Spinner Revival. They would also look great in West Yorkshire Spinners Bo Peep. Both of these DK yarns have nylon content for strong socks.

Fallberry Mitts
Fallberry Mitts by Anne Hanson
I made these for my mother-in-law in Australia years ago. She loved them! and they were pretty straightforward to make. I'm pretty sure I used a 4 ply yarn but the pattern uses a sport weight. They would be beautiful in Cambrian Wool!

The Window Cat
The Window Cat by Sara Elizabeth Kellner
I loved making this cat for daughter when she was small. I think it's one of those wonderful toys that also works as a cushion so could be for any age really - a perfect 'emotional support'-style creation! The pattern suggests a worsted yarn such as Loch Lomond but any DK yarn would be lovely, or you could use a thicker yarn and a larger needle size.

Mosaic Cushion Covers
Mosaic Crochet Cushion Covers - I like Esme Crick designs using aran weight yarn in two colours.
I've used both Croft and the ColourLab Aran.
