Wet Felted Shibori Art

If you love making art with wool, then you will love this 2 part workshop where you will combine wool, silk, embroidery and other natural found objects into a unique piece of art suitable for framing or made into a cushion.

On the 18th you will lay down wool and other fibres such as silk and curls and felt on to a piece of silk chiffon.  Buttons and sea glass etc will then be added and tied into the back of the piece to give texture. It is then wet felted and left to dry for the next session.

On the 25th you will use silks and synthetics, wools, shells  beads and other lovely bits to add your own personality to the piece. Embroidery is also often added at this stage too.

This workshop is led by felt artist Ginny Shipway and is suitable for beginners as well as those looking to improve their skills. You are most welcome to bring your own little treasures to adorn your art.
