Hand spun Suri, baby, alpaca, camel and alpaca/silk blends

We have  a new stock of the most beautiful hand spun alpaca you've ever seen! Exclusive to Wool on the Exe, this gorgeous fibre would make beautiful handwarmers, small shawlettes, or combined  to make a larger shawl. They are the work of Jean Field who owns Alandale Alpacas in West Devon. 

If  you've never knit with alpaca, you're in for a treat. It's lightweight, warm in winter and cool in the summertime. The hollow fibre structure is stronger than wool and is luxuriously soft to the touch. 

Each hank is truly unique and averages about 50 grams and will be 4 ply in weight.
