Advanced knitting techniques

Quantity Remaining: 4

Following on from our finishing techniques workshop; this session will cover more advanced techniques such as Kitchener stitch (grafting stocking stitch) and Wrap & Turn and German short rows. Depending on time, Jackie can also take requests from attendees. A detailed handout will be supplied along with further references.

This workshop is designed for intermediate knitters who wish to understand some of the techniques used by modern knitting designers.

You will need to supply some samples to complete;

  • 2 small pieces of stocking stitch knitting (10 stitch cast on, 10 rows); each piece left on a knitting needle (for Kitchener stitch practice). Any weight yarn.
  • 1 small piece of stocking stitch knitting (30 stitches, 5 rows) for short row practice - do not cast off, leave knitting on the needle :-)

This workshop is led by Jackie Millichap
