Great needles

Bought these in 3mm with a 100cm cable to knit a hat with using magic loop. I have been using Zing metal circulars and wanted to try wooden needles to see how they compare. A couple of problems I have with the metal needles don't occur with the Symphonies - these are grippy enough that I'm not worried about the stitches slipping off in error, but also smooth enough that the stitches move easily along the needle. This also means that I don't grip the needle as tightly and my hands don't hurt when using these for a period of time. Today I have done a lot of knitting with these and my hands feel fine!

They are really pretty which adds to the experience of using them, and the cable does sit nicely while I'm working around my magic loop. Sometimes my stitches have trouble going across the metal connector between the needle and the cable, but I suspect this is due to my tension rather than an issue with the needles themselves. And I have found that the numbers are rubbing off quickly - but if you have one of those handy measuring thingies or plan on keeping these in the packaging when you're not using them (as I plan to), then I don't think that's much of a problem.

I've also used these with both dark and light wool and as long as the lighting is ok (same with metal needles) then it's all good! :)
